I asked a question, little more than a cheap joke, about Mary Cheney, and a bunch of mouth-foaming right-wingers basically said, “How dare you! She is just the Vice President’s daughter and is not fair game!” But when they say stuff like “bed-wetting LIEberals,” “socialists” and “Barack HUSSEIN bin Obama,” they feel that’s fine. When relatives of politicians — be it Hillary, Tipper Gore, Kerry’s daughters, Elizabeth Edwards, Judith Giuliani or any number of Bushes — make political statements, they forfeit the protection that comes with “being above politics.” If you fanatics can’t handle a joke question, then you shouldn’t be on this site. Are you really so thin-skinned? If so, then maybe you’re right not to volunteer to fight for your boy Georgie’s war. You’d be liabilities. Go on, fight me with substance. Show me how tough you are. I’m not impressed by nasty. Quite the opposite. Attack me if you must, but do it in a way that doesn’t make you look like fools.
